Did you know that a cyclone hit the eastern coast of Africa a few weeks ago? According to meteorologists, Cyclone Freddy was the longest-lasting and most traveled tropical cyclone ever recorded. Not only were meteorological records broken but a path of destruction to homes, churches and businesses in some of the poorest countries in the world were left in its wake. Hundreds of people died in Mozambique, Madagascar, and Malawi.

Thank you for your prayers for us this past month!  Scott had an excellent trip in Asia while Laura had a productive and uneventful time at home. Scott is almost recovered from jetlag! Before Thanksgiving, I traveled with my colleague, Mike Gunderson to Panama City, Panama for a training of church leaders. We taught our second course, 2 Timothy and had a great group of students. These students had started Pathways Bible Training just before the pandemic and they were eager to get back to it. Mike and I had a great few day’s training together and it was wonderful that we did the entire training in Spanish. (Read More)

It's harvest time here in Iowa. We are grateful for the harvest we have begun to see in our ministry of training church leaders and watching them pass the training on to others.
